Some trips are about seeing one place deeply. Others are about stringing together a country's greatest hits into one unforgettable run. This route does the latter — five cities, centuries of history, and a fitting Mumbai send-off before the flight home.

Delhi (November 8)

The trip opens gently, with a late dinner at Indian Accent and a nightcap at The Library Bar to shake off the jet lag. The next morning is all Delhi: breakfast at Cafe Tesu, a visit to the sweeping India Gate, and a deep dive into the country's past at the National Museum. From there it's on to Humayun's Tomb, the Mughal masterpiece that inspired the Taj Mahal, followed by a legendary tandoor lunch at Bukhara. The day winds down with a quiet walk through Deer Park before an early night — tomorrow starts early.

Agra (November 9)

An early departure gets you into Agra in time for breakfast at Roastery Coffee House, then straight to the main event: the Taj Mahal, best experienced in the softer late-morning light. Lunch at the cozy Tea'se Me sets up an afternoon at Agra Fort, the red sandstone stronghold that watched over the Mughal empire, followed by a final stop at Itmad-ud-Daula's Tomb — often called the "Baby Taj" for its intricate marble inlay.

The Pink City delivers two full days of exploring. Day one starts with breakfast at B&B-Brew and Brunch, then moves through the astronomical instruments of Jantar Mantar, the honeycomb facade of Hawa Mahal, and the royal apartments of the City Palace, with lunch at Govindam Retreat in between. Day two begins at Café Bae before a climb up to Jaigarh Fort, a relaxed stroll through Central Park, and lunch at Stepout Cafe. The evening closes out in style with dinner at the opulent Suvarna Mahal and cocktails at Clock Tower Jaipur.

Udaipur (November 12–13)

Rajasthan's lake city is made for slowing down. Breakfast at The Sky Lounge kicks off a morning at the City Palace Udaipur, followed by Bagore Ki Haveli and lunch overlooking the water at Jajmaan Lakeview. The second day trades palaces for the lake itself: breakfast at Jheel's Ginger Coffee Bar & Bakery, a boat ride across Pichola Lake, and a relaxed stop at Ambrai Ghat for the view. Lunch at Qalaa, dinner at Namaste Cafe & Restaurant, and a final round of drinks at TARO Skybar and Lounge close out Udaipur on a high note.

The final stop is brief by design — a light breakfast at Prithvi Cafe before heading to the airport, giving the week a soft landing rather than one more packed day.

Five cities, one unmistakable arc through India's history — Mughal monuments, Rajasthani palaces, and lakeside calm, capped with an easy Mumbai farewell.
